Micro Credit

In the last one and a half year of our intervention and provision of free Cleft Lip and Palate surgeries, we have found a nexus between, poverty, illiteracy, and high rate of school drop outs among this group.  These discoveries have given more impetus for the need to increase our involvement and support in the provision of micro credit, grants and scholarships with the common goal of improving the overall wellbeing of the child and invariably that of the parents with a trickledown effect on extended family and the society at large. As a holistic approach must be put in place to create access to good education, micro credit and in the long run a decent accommodation would succeed in improving the lives of the beneficiaries, their families and the society in general. Moreover, this targeted group of people would also in turn become employers of labour and more informed citizens of Nigeria.
